The Circle of Life in a Mission....

We lost four great missionaries in April.  They have left us for a new life and we will miss them.  Elder Pulsipher has been serving as our district leader here in Lugansk.  We said good-bye to him with pizza.  He and his companion were the chefs!

Elder Pulsipher was serving in the Makeevka Branch when we arrived in Ukraine.  When we attended church our first Sunday, he was one of the first to greet us with his habitual friendly grin. Before we were in the same district here in Lugansk, he and his companion were our zone leaders in Donetsk Center.  We have shared a lot of experiences together.  It will not be the same to have him gone.
Elder Pulsipher was the only Elder leaving to go home this transfer,
along with three wonderful Sister missionaries.
Sister Ward, Haymond and Watts have been like our daughters.
We have worried about them, prayed over them, and have been and are extreemly proud of them.
They have added light and excitement and love to our mission.
Losing missionaries is bitter-sweet because we want them to move onward and upward in the next phase of their own lives, but at the same time, we feel a loss and we really do miss them

  3. isn't that a bit like biological children? except you spend years and years watching them grow and learn and better themselves - then they hit that jumping off point all for a "new life". But soon enough you will take their place and you will be leaving for your "new life" and they will miss you terribly!
