March 2012 -- Our Elders
Lenna is the YW president, seminary teacher and Gospel Doctrine teacher in the Lugansk branch. She is a sweet returned missionary and she brought a very cute "pony-purse" to church. I could see one of my daughters sewing one of these, so I captured two views.
The first weekday activity for the young men in the Aaronic priesthood since we have been here in Lugansk was held at our home this week. We had 100% of the active young men in attendance. The Lugansk Center Elders taught a cooking class entitled, "Surviving for two years on your own." They made pizza and were very pleased with their accomplishment.
However, man cannot live by bread alone -- even the delicious Oatmeal batter-bread that has won Elder Hatch notoriety here in Lugansk!
I like "our" elders.

but I do need to get more into my scriptures-
it needs to find its beat in my rhythm.
cute purse! your branch sounds a bit like Caruthers where people have more than one calling. Pizza sounds like a wonderful meal to know how to make! Kyle and I do fabulous Pizzas, if I do say so myself! I do a Margarita Pizza while he does either a meat-lovers or Hawaiian or pepperoni pizza . . . then we have a lot of left-overs!
