City Streets

It rained again today.  We rode the bus back from the church where we watched conference.

Julie asked about the blue-roofed building on the aerial-view map of Donetsk.  It is the Renick...a huge, covered flea market.

We thought you would like to see the cool sidewalks.  A lot of the streets are paved this way too, so when you drive down them your teeth rattle.

Some things remind us of home.

This is the first two-story McDonald's I have ever seen.

Some things do not remind us of home, like the skyline, and the view from our window.

Our Saturday is over.  Yours is just getting a good start.  It was a good day - you should like it.  We hope everybody listened to a good conference last week. We got the first installment of ours today.  We love you all----good night.

  1. "It was a good day. You should like it" :) Thank you for our good day. We did.

Tomorrow night tell us what you liked best -what sticks out- about conference.

Seeing my Dad in above pic is very incongruous. Knowing my Dad, though, it is not.

  2. LOL . . . I love Heather!!!!
all these pictures look like this is the largest city you've ever lived in - how does it feel? I LOVE the sidewalks and I would love my teeth to rattle too . . . I'm so bothered - almost NONE of the fast food restaurants don't have play places! not to mention those fun-looking slides . . .
